Oversaw Redfin’s data journalism team, providing editorial strategy for, and editing of, all reports. Provided editorial direction and strategy during the first three months of the COVID-19 pandemic, and helped shape Redfin’s public-facing content during the crisis.

Top-level editor for Travel Tacoma, Visit Bellevue, Washington State Visitors’ Guide, and Washington Wine Tour Guide. Developed editorial strategy, determined editorial lineups, and assigned and edited all magazines. Managed junior editor, recruited freelancers and oversaw art.

• Launched Washington Wine, Visit Bellevue, and Travel Tacoma magazines

• Revolutionized seven publications under the Visit Seattle masthead

• Won Maggies for Washington State Visitors’ Guide and Visit Bellevue

Set editorial direction of the University of Washington alumni magazine and assigned, edited, and wrote content. Recruited and cultivated freelancers, oversaw design and photography, managed all editorial calendars. Created Columns social media plan.  

• Launched a digital newsletter program that tripled click-throughs and visits to Columns online

• Spearheaded a digital redesign that quadrupled reader interaction

Set editorial direction for UW Law and developed, assigned, and edited all content. Managed budget, vendors, and all aspects of print production. Redesigned UW Law into a four-color magazine with compelling content and engaging features. Won multiple Council for the Advancement and Support of Excellence editorial awards.

Set the editorial direction of the magazine and assigned and edited all content. Developed and wrote digital newsletters. Increased revenue of magazine while reducing costs by $15,000 per issue.
